The Institute of Natural Healing Sciences, founded in 1985 by Charlotte Small Applegate, began with just 2 students. The school was moved to two different locations before settling at its present site in 1988. Charlotte, who until 1988 had been sole instructor, was joined by Paul Silverman as enrollment rapidly increased to 110 students. Charlotte sold the school in 1998 to Dawne Morrow and in 2004 INHS was purchased by Amin Chitsazan with Ebna-Cina, Inc.
INHS is located 15 minutes west of DFW Airport in Colleyville, Texas, located within 30 minutes driving distance from Fort Worth, Dallas, Grapevine, Arlington, and adjacent Metroplex areas. Our facility is on a quiet, residential street well away from the traffic and congestion of a large metropolis, in a pleasant and safe surrounding. Several restaurants, from fast food to sit-down service, are in the area.
INHS was both - a massage school and massage clinic. The 3,500 square foot space included a large classroom with a library, reception and massage treatment rooms. At this point the entire space underwent a massive renovation and will hopefully be back for CEU courses in the Spring of 2018.
Although you were expected to study hard and you found the tests challenging, we wanted your learning experience to be fun and interesting. Because we had a small facility, our enrollment was limited to 30 students per class. The student / instructor ratio was 10/1 insuring much personal supervision and one-on-one work.
INHS is currently not registered with the Texas Department of Health due to some restructuring efforts (if you need details please call us directly). We have been a member of the AMTA Council of Schools for years.
